Biography
Clarinetist Beatrice Seyzeriat and percussionist Sofia Wik formed DuoMarinett in 2012 and has since given concerts and toured Norway and Sweden. They collaborate diligently with both composers, choirs and instrumentalists, which broadens the repertoire and expand concert opportunities. They operate as a freelance musician, both in various professional orchestras and in various solo and chamber music ensembles.
Sofia Wik
Sofia Wik is a freelancing classical percussionist from Linköping, now living in Gothenburg. She received a Degree of Bachelor from The Chamber Music Program at School of Music Theatre and Art in University of Örebro and continued her studies at Swedish National Orchestra Academy at Academy of Music and Drama in Gothenburg. After one year of exchange studies at Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, she completed her Master's degree in spring 2012. Since then, Sofia has played in Gothenburg Opera Orchestra, Gotlandsmusiken, Gävle Symphony Orchestra, Östgötateaterns orchestra, Dalasinfoniettan, Jönköping Sinfonietta and Östgöta Blåsarsymfoniker, but she has also made numerous solo and chamber music concerts and accompanied numerous soloists and choruses on marimba
Beatrice Seyzeriat
Beatrice Seyzeriat, from Fevik in Norway, began her studies at the Griegacademy in Bergen. She moved to Gothenburg after a year of exchange studies at the Academy of Music and Drama in Gothenburg and completed her Bachelor's degree in 2009. Spring 2011 she received her Master's degree in orchestral studies at the Swedish National Orchestra Academy at the University of Music and Drama, Gothenburg. Since then, Beatrice has worked as a teacher and freelance clarinettist, playing with professional orchestras such as Jönköping Sinfonietta, Gothenburg Wind Orchestra, Gotlandsmusiken, Curious Chamber Players, Mimitabu and more. She is an eager chamber musician and is a member of the chamber music groups Dolce Trio, Trio Aquilo, SeyzeriatFronczak, and DuoMarinett.
